Suck to be me

   

I jsut finish a book call suck to be me by Kimberly Pauley. It is a very funny book, I think people who reading this will have a good laugh. It get more fascinating and fascinating when your keep reading and reading. The book is about a girl name Mina and she found out her family was vampire, she have to start taking classes and training with his uncle to be a teen vampire. She have to choose the biggest choice of her life, wether she want to be a vampire or not? There are a little love story behind this but trust me it not going to be that cheasy!!!

Did you enjoy the book? Why? why not/

I really enjoy the book because it really suspenseful and emotional!! I think Linda Sue Park did a great job writting this book, it doesn't just help me learning about the history but also help me kind of have a sense of what it like to be in a war. I absolutely like how she describe the character and make them stand out even though they just little character. For example Mrs. Ahn was included a little in the story but somehow when the author describe her I can understand her background, her life. I can also feel a sense of humour in the book, I love uncle jokes and how sun-hee call the japanese security, spade face. It make me laugh everytime and it give me a really good time reading. I visualize alot and questioning myself. Thanks to the author clear and amazing writing i have a easier time visualizing!!! Overall I rate the book 5/5.

VISUALIZING!!!

When i read when my name was Keoko this is what i visualize in my head. I visualize Tae-Yul driving an airplane and how exciting he is, how he look down at the tiny building from above. I can also feel how exciting but nervous he is to ride a aiplane because that is the wish he always wanted. I kind of see how Tae-Yul thinking aboout his family when he going to fly to japan and be a kamikaze. I saw his face expression look sad but comfident, I think he know that no matter what his family will be proud of what he doing. His uncle going to think how brave he is. I feel exactly how he felt, it a mixed emotion. When Sun-hee and her omoni get a message that Tae-yul going to be a kamikaze I see how painful omoni look, how Sun- hee think he such a idiot. They are very sad and feel awful, thye kind of feel tae-yul let them down. I feel the pain too so I know it will be so hard to get over it. That is what i strongly see when I read.

Questioning about when my name was keoko

We read When My Name Was Keoko on friday and this is some questions I have :
- I wonder what will the japanese officer do with tae-yul ?
- I wonder will tae-tup drive an airplane?
-I wonder will tae-yul be a kamikaze
-I wonder will tae-yul died?
-I wonder will sun-hee go to seoul (before her brother went to japan) to save her brother?
- I wonder what happen to the Go-Kam?
-I wonder will uncle show up and stop tae-yul from being a pilot?

1) what the japanese fear of?
Since the Japanese and the American is fighting but the American allies is really strong and powerful. So the Japanese scared that they will loose soon and they going to lost their power and can't control Korea. They need alot more young man to join their armies. They also need workers to make weapons for them and take are of the airplane.that make sense that the Japanese is loosing and they did not want Korea to be a independent country.


2) What is the leaflet about?
The American send a million of leaflet from the sky but the Japanese won't let anyone to read it and it will be burn. Keoko and Taeyul hide the leaflet and bring it back so Abuja can read it. The letter is in Korean only old people learn Korean before the Japanese took over but Abuja did study some korean. The letter is from a American man he say that he going to try his hardest to help Korea become a independent country again. They make sure the Korean will not be kill or bomb.

1) Why do you think uncle suddenly changed when Sun - Hee introduced her friend Jung - Shin at his printing shop?
  - I think because it something about jung - shin family that make uncle change, uncle started changed his look when jung - Shin talk about her father, Jung - shin father is Korean but working in a bank for the Japanese. Uncle may think Jung - Shin father is chin - il - pa.

Chapter 11
1) Who is Mrs. Ahn? Why do people think she bad luck?
 - Mrs. ahn is an old woman live in Sun - Hee neighborhood. She have a very unfortunate life, her husband divorced her, she's returned home to live with her parents but they died after a few years. She was alone in the whole wide world. No family, no children, no one. That why people see her as bad luck.

Novel Reflection :Write a blog entry about your book

The book i just finish is call All the Lovely Bad One by Mary Downing Hahn. It is a scary book, it about a boy name Travis and his little sister. They going to spend their summer in their grandmother inn in Foxhill. Travis just discovered the inn is haunted, he and his sister can't resist a good trick, they dress up at ghost to fool people so there will be more costumers. Unluckily because of their trick they wake up the ghost of foxhill, Miss Ada and the lovely bad ones. They are the one who started it so they the one who finish it. I encourage everyone to read this book because it really scary, the reader will be shivering all night!

The best book i have ever read!

The best book i have ever read is the "Flying Fingers" by adora svitak, you be suprise because this author is only 14 and she was 8 when she wrote this. Flying finger have alot of stories. When you read the book, it not like a 8 years old kid writing, it have so deep knowledge. I read it and some of the stories i can't even understand. It more about the past, i think there are only one storie call diary U13 and that more about a present of a teenage girl. Otheres is about king, prince, princess, queen....ect. It go really deep into the history of the world. It included so many interesting story and i just love it!

Book I read

The book I read right now is never underestimate your dumbness, it is in the dear dumb diary series. I love the book because it about a girl name Jamie Kelly, she in middle school and that why i think it will be a awesome book for middle school reader. Jamie aunt get marry and try to get everything ready for her big day, wedding make thing frustrating it sometime make people insance but it is a dream for every women out there(most of them). Well, of course Jamie will be the brideamaid but she have to were those ugly and old dresses and shoe. She hate them. It here aunt wedding and it really important, she can't just say no. What will she do?
